Yet another complete waste of taxpayer dollars

Reading the results of the common council vote to support the collossal waste of money known as light rail from Miller park to downtown I am left wondering why the council would prefer to spend a half a billion dollars on something that few people will ride as opposed to giving 26 Million to St. Michaels to subsidize health care for the poor. This does not mean I am for subsidies for health care for the poor, it means that the common council aldermen and women are complete morons.

100 Years From Now

Dear Reader;

100 years from now history will remember Prime Minister Allawi and Hamid Karzai among many other brave souls as the founding father figures of Iraq and Afghanistan. 100 years from now nations throughout the world will salute them for their courage and visions of freedom the same as we do today for the students in Tianamen Square, the original founding fathers, Lech Walesa, the man thrust into history as the brave leader of the Polish people, and Ronald Reagan, the visionary behind the modern freedom movement.

It will record George W. Bush as the principal architect of Middle Eastern democracy in the early part of the millennium that helped finally stabilize that region by ending the tyranny that has killed and impoverished millions throughout history.

President Bush has established the only true road to Middle Eastern peace by fanning the fires of freedom for those existing under centuries of oppression that is typical of a post modern petro monarchy. The freedom from so many self appointed kings, dictators’ war lords and vicious self aggrandizing, and ego maniacal rulers is the legacy of those that support the current events now unfolding in that part of the world.

It will remember those in the Democratic Party, Old Europe, and those of the liberal persuasion as misguided overly arrogant individuals so filled with the vision of their own self importance that they parsed sentences, speeches, spent hundreds of millions of dollars and literally worked day and night to defeat the vision of self determinate freedom of individuals by continuing to keep entire nations in bondage. By doing this they seek to establish the significance of themselves and their so called ideals.

100 years from now liberals will be remembered as the ones that would accept the deaths hundreds of thousands if not millions of Iraqi’s under Saddam, Uday and Qusay in their torture and rape prisons. Liberals would accept these horrific crimes to maintain the racist attitudes they themselves hold as noted by the statements of many of the liberal leaders that Arabs, no matter what their country, are not able to handle democracy and therefore should not be allowed to have it, nor should we support them in their quest for freedom. We should only contain the threat to us and ignore the suffering of their nation, and their peoples.

Liberals are truly the avowed racists of our world and our time, they have demonstrated it time and again by shirking the responsibility of free democratic peoples to support those in bondage that are crying out for the freedom those in power take for granted. It does not matter, whether in Iraq, the German Jews of pre WWII, or even in our own inner cities the racism of the liberal movement is highly visible as demonstrated by the aforementioned tolerance of tyranny. This racism is treated by those in the United States media as the typical 800 lb gorilla, maybe if we ignore it; it will go away and whatever you do, don’t talk about it, it can’t exist if we don’t talk about it..

History will record 9-11-01 as the watershed event that kick started the movement toward freedom and democracy in the Middle Eastern state the same as we remember December 7, 1941, as the event that triggered the United States to finally join the rest of the world in the fight against the evils of Hitler, Tojo and the holocaust.

History will remember Bill Clinton for the blue dress, Monica Lewinsky, impeachment and the absolute cowardice he displayed when given the opportunity to clean out the rats nest in Somalia. I know that we, as Americans would have supported him to clean it out, but he lacked the courage to it and 3000 people would die on that sunny Tuesday morning because of his cowardice.

Bill Clinton instead chose to follow instead of lead, he made a conscious decision to turn tail and run for his own political survival leaving 19 American soldiers dead in the streets of Mogadishu just to save his own political skin. History will remember Bill Clinton as a follower of the polls, not as a leader of a great nation. I cannot to this day remember any new policy or great thing that Clinton did to leave as a legacy for the future of our nation and our world except the seeds of a major terrorist attack. I, like most people, remember only the internet bubble, the scandalous nature of his behavior, and the fact that he chose to show weakness to the terrorists of Somalia, the first world trade center bombing, and the USS Cole. Osama Bin Laden mistook Clintons lack of courage as the lack of courage of the people of the United States and had no idea of the sleeping giant they had awakened on September 11.

History will remember Bill Clinton and the rest of the Democrats for the support of, and the rationalization of childish, immature and extremely inappropriate behavior in the hallowed halls of our nation’s capital. Both he and the Democrats will be remembered as modern day Nero’s fiddling as the conflagration of Osama Bin Laden continued to build, Osama Bin Laden’s inferno was fed by the sins of arrogance, oppression and Bill Clinton’s and the rest of the Democratic party’s political and personal cowardice.

History has recorded that Mr. Clinton and all those who helped him made a conscious decision to allow the defenses of the United States to become second rate yet again. History will record that by ignoring the events of terrorism leading up to September 11’th they all played a part in the terrorism of that fateful day.

Republicans too, have many lessons to learn, as they also ignored the lessons of the past regarding a weak military, and allowed the Liberals to ignore the danger signals of the impending storm.

The religious zealotry of Bin Laden could not have taken place in a land that is inhabited by those under a banner of freedom as demonstrated by the United States, the oldest democracy on earth. When discovered in our country radical religion or is not allowed to continue. Many have tried, even Henry Ford became caught up in his idea that because he was wealthy he should be in charge and that he was smarter than all of the people of the United States.

G.W. Bush will be remembered as a leader with the vision and political courage to understand that our only true defense against terrorism is freedom for the entire world. By no means does this mean he is not fallible, he is, and he knows that he is, and the best thing about a great leader is that he knows he can screw up with the best of them. Knowing ones own weaknesses is the only key to great personal strength.

History will recall the entire event of 9-11-01 taking place while false religious leaders continued to try to force all of humanity back into the dark ages of worship of their personal vision of God under the penalty of death and to worship themselves personally as prophets of a single God instead of the true vision that is God as defined through spirituality.

Jesus, our accepted son of and messenger of God, spoke not of religion, but of spirituality and that is the vision maintained in what is termed the Holy Spirit. Although called by many different names by many religions throughout the world, it still is the only focus of what all religions strive to instill in their believers.

I would suggest that all these events took place under the watchful eye of God as he wants none of us to suffer, and he puts people into history and our lives as he sees fit in order to direct the course of mankind both at a personal and national level toward a greater good.

I firmly believe that much of this modern vision of freedom can be attributed to Ronald Reagan, a man that stepped into history as the right leader at the right time, the same as Dwight Eisenhower, Winston Churchill and FDR were exactly the right leaders at exactly the right time to lead the free nations to victory in WWII.

It was Mr. Reagan’s vision of morning in America that brought yet another revelation of America's greatness to the forefront, and it was this vision that liberals have tried repeatedly, over many years, but have failed to destroy. It is truly Mr. Reagan’s’ vision, leadership and faith in God that enabled America to triumph over the evil of communism and set the stage for this new revolution of freedom.

Communism is a failed way of governance and it is dying, it will not die quietly though as it has many friends, Witness the arrogance of the liberals that tell us that we Americans are not worthy of the gifts of freedom that we enjoy, that they know better than we do how we should lead our lives. Communism will not exist as we know it 100 years from now, for that we owe thanks to the founding fathers and all those GI’s that are buried in the name of freedom throughout the world. Their personal courage as evidenced and support of democracy by laying down their lives for their buddies and their country shall support us and all those with this vision of freedom. Freedom will continue to prevail upon the earth not from just from people, but from God, Mr Reagan, Mr. Bush, the Founding Fathers, and all those who have laid down their lives for the cause of freedom were simply messengers, God knows this struggle, and provides leaders to get us where he wants us.

History remembers Abraham Lincoln as the leader of a broken nation who had a vision of freedom for all in America regardless of who they were or what they looked like. Lincoln worked and ultimately sacrificed his life to remove the terrible scar of slavery from our country, exhibiting the greatest personal courage to take on that task. President Lincoln understood that the battle against our own discrimination is rooted in the evils brought from our past as flawed, non enlightened, non visionary human beings. Mr. Bush knows that today we have a clear choice, if we work hard establishing freedom and democracy throughout the Middle East and when democracy takes hold, freedom will bloom and prosper throughout the world.

As we travel the road of life we must remember that we are all part of a machine that is larger and much more valuable than the sum of its parts. What would we do today without those that worked hard and gambled everything including their lives in the past to bring us the technology and the freedom to explore and satisfy our own wants and needs? Those that gave their lives in the space shuttles and in the battles for freedom throughout history are those with the highest of aspirations and the physical courage to know that they may not get out of there alive, but they went anyway.

A grateful and humble nation salutes all of them and their bravery.

Perhaps we will have interplanetary travel in 100 years or so, but one thing is sure, that travel must be accompanied by a vision of freedom held by individuals free to search out what it is that they wish to do. Visions are not assigned by some government agency or employee, vision comes from within and the natural innate curiosity given to us by God in order to seek out and improve our lot in life.

History remembers George Washington, Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln, and Dwight Eisenhower as humble men, an observation reinforced by their writings. They, as do all great men, understood that they are but servants in God’s world and that it was their duty to take the gifts they were given at their time in history and work for the safety and betterment of all mankind.

The leadership exhibited by those with the courage to continue to fight for that which is right is true spirituality at work, and I subscribe to that thesis. If any failing exists in the personality and the administration of George W Bush it is that although he too knows the same vision of freedom, he is, for the most part either unable or unwilling to express it at the risk of looking cheaply political.

I will continue to support our soldiers everywhere as they give much to what I know to be God's vision of freedom for all mankind. I must also understand that we are all extremely ignorant and that we are truly incapable of understanding God’s grand scheme of things and the importance of our own lives and works in that vision. It is what I do today that will determine if I am granted a seat at the table of God in heaven. Therefore I must strive to do my best on a daily basis.

Our soldiers deserve the best as they know that their mission is to bring freedom to a people oppressed by the vilest of circumstances. They cannot be racist in their ideals as is evidenced by their sacrifice, they are to be admired. It is complete and total racist arrogance to allow individuals to suffer under hated dictatorships. God allows us choices, if we do not stand up now for others seeking their own individual freedom, we will lose our own. We do not have to enforce democracy at the point of a gun, but we all have to support it in the ways we speak and the ways that we act. If we have a suggestion we should give it, not demand that our ways are the only important ways to accomplish a goal.

I know that I have been given a wonderful gift, I have been given life in the United States of America, and that it is my responsibility to pass it on to the rest of the world and I must take that responsibility deadly serious.

I also know that I dare not take myself too seriously as it is my own arrogance that will destroy me, and it is the arrogance of national pride, a lack of a vision of God and self worship of things all too human that destroys nations and entire civilizations. For this, we must all strive to avoid while we continue to support the ideals of America through our own sacrifice.

History will judge us as we hold to the truth of freedom.

Confined to my home in Franklin WI for recuperation following abdominal surgery I have been forced to watch yet another argument put out by the left of the reasons for not dropping atomic bombs as the last acts of WWII.
I notice that most of those against the act continue to be nothing more that cowards afraid to face the fact that we continue to live in a violent world. The Soldiers. Sailors and Marines that fought in that terrible struggle continue to agree wholeheartedly that dropping the bombs was the right thing to do, after all it was they that would die for their country.
I ask that those that continue to second guess the powers that be in that time period to give up, to go out and die for their country.
I don't think any of them has the guts.

Stolen Heroes from my generation

As I read various Milblogs like Mudville Gazette I am truly taken by the heartbreaking stories of wounded and killed soldiers and Marines that represent our country in this latest in the continued struggle for our collective freedom.
I look back at my own experiences and see that my generation of fellow soldiers never had a chance to realize just who our heroes were. Our heroes were stolen from us by the cowards of the sixties and seventies that are showing the same amount of cowardice in the face of aggression perpretrated upon us by those that wish our complete destruction. Make no mistake about it, destruction is just what they wish.
I am a Viet Nam era veteran that served in Alaska and actually survived Jimmy Carters army, so I have no right to claim any type of glory, but the 58,000 names on the wall in
Washington D.C. each have a story of their heroism. Each one of them was subtracted from lives back here. They all had hopes, dreams, and aspirations to just survive the nightmare that was Southeast Asia.
As I read the Milblogs I know that each soldiers story is getting out and I am truly grateful for those that continue to blog as they need to have their individual's and their units stories told.
I am grateful that the leaders of our country now do not prosecute the war as those in places of power in that war did.
The true war criminals of that war were Robert McNamara and the whiz kids, LBJ and those that felt the arrogance of power and refused to allow those that knew how to run a war get out of the way and let them run the damn thing. The media of the sixties and the seventies are complicit in this criminality as they do nothing but second guess those that know the true context of the ongoing battle. The media is filled with armchair generals that sit on the sidelines and tell those in the game how to better perform.
I would love to see Michael Moore in a uniform. What do you think would happen?
Heroism on the battlefield is a common trait for those that are there. They understand that the real reason they are there is because they are there to protect their buddies next to them. It goes without saying that it is a common thread for uncommon valor to be a common virtue in combat.
I can only continue to hope that those in harms way understand the depths of honor those of us in previous generations feel for their heroism. They are in harms way, and all I can do is pray for them.

Could somebody please expalin to me why 30 Wisconsin young men dying in Iraq is so much more important than the 80 0r so murders in Milwaukee this year? Is it because these murders are mostly young black men, is it part of the inherent racism of the powers that be in Milwaukee that continue to downplay their own parts in these deaths.
I think so and I think it is the real tragedy of the state of our society.
I think the worst part of it is that nobody seems to care.

Liberal Cowards

Posted is a copy of a letter that I wrote and e mailed to the Lt. gov of Pennsylvania.
Everybody that supports our troops and refuses to sanction the cowardice of the left should send her something.

Dear Ms. Knoll;
Why is it that you liberals will stoop to the lowest rung on the ladder to insult those that gave their lives for our country.
Like it or not Staff Sgt. Goodrich gave his life for his country and you had no right to intrude upon the solemn dignity of his military funeral to campaign against the war or your own selfish desires.
You should be ashamed of yourself personally and you should resign as Lt. Governor for the great state of Pennsylvania. The citizens deserve better than you.
I am a Viet Nam era veteran and I am disgusted by the behavior of the liberal trash like you in your pathetic attempts to all our country's heroes in this war like you did in the war that I stood up and fought for.

Reminder to all, please be careful out there today, the attack Chihuahua's led by Nancy and John are especially vicious today.
They are feeling very powerful as they are attempting to tree Karl Rove.
The shrill bark of these vicious animals as they circle their prey should be a warning to all to toe the line and be certian that your actions continue to ascribe to the advise and consent standards of their fearless leader, "Teddy the Ferocious".
As lead ankle biter "Teddy the Ferocious" sets the highest standards of ankle biting and nipping at the heels of those that lead the rest of us through times of danger.

Global Warming

As I recover from this illness that has waylaid me this summer, I have had a chance to catch up on some of the many magazines my wife subscribes to.
The one that never ceases to rouse my anger is the left wing rag known as "Discover Magazine".
The latest global warming gas article makes me hope and pray that more environmentalist wackos will commit suicide in order to save the planet.
The argument made for global warming is a false argument based on flawed science. In all the articles I have read on the global warming phenomena never has there been a mention of the fact that we, here on the earth get 99.99% of our energy from the sun. Because of this we are captive to the output of enegy from the sun, period.
If the sun heats up we heat up, if it cools, we cool. Weather cycles have been happening on this planet for at least 4 billion years, solar cycles for at least the same amount and we have been taking measurements of these cycles for less than a hundred years, measurements with a <10% error rate which makes them scientifically invalid, yet people are still dumb enough to believe it.
Global warming, perhaps, tied to the sun, without a doubt, and there is nobody or no computer on this planet smart enough to tell me what the weather will be like in 2 weeks with any degree of certianty.
Yet the environmentalists proclaim that we must all move back into caves in order to save our planet.
I was in the infantry, I refuse to move back into a cave, let them lead the way.

Returning to the world

I was admitted to the Clement J. Zablocki VA medical center in Milwaukee from the Emergency Room on a life threatening diagnosis. I have nothing but effluent praise to sing for the VA medical system. Professional, caring and above all highly competent, the VA system makes me proud to be a veteran.
